🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Measure the heating element resistance. Disconnect power, access the element at the back of the drum. Should read 20-40Ω. Infinite = open circuit, replace element
   ✓ Expected: 20-40Ω reading
2. If the element tests good, check the thermal fuse (located on the blower housing). Should read 0Ω (continuity). Open = blown, replace fuse
   ✓ Expected: 0Ω (continuity) — fuse intact
3. If the thermal fuse is blown, DO NOT just replace it — find the cause. A blown thermal fuse means the dryer overheated. Check the vent for lint blockage
   ✓ Expected: Vent clear, lint trap clean
4. Check the high-limit thermostat (on the blower housing). Should read continuity at room temperature. Open = replace
   ✓ Expected: Continuity at room temp
5. If all components test good, check for 240V at the element terminals when the dryer is in a heated cycle. No 240V = control board or relay issue
   ✓ Expected: 240V AC at element during heat cycle
