🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Clean the ventilation grilles on the top and sides of the microwave. Accumulated dust blocks the cooling fan
   ✓ Expected: Grilles clear of dust
2. Check the cooling fan motor (behind the control panel). It should spin freely when you move it by hand. A seized fan causes overheating
   ✓ Expected: Fan spins freely
3. If the fan is seized, replace the fan motor. Sharp fan motors are a known failure point on 5+ year old units
   ✓ Expected: New fan, E1 cleared
4. Check the thermistor (temperature sensor) on the magnetron. If it reads out of spec, the control board thinks the unit is overheating
   ✓ Expected: Thermistor resistance in spec
