🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Clean the drain pump filter — remove the small round cap at the bottom front of the washer, drain the water, and remove lint/coins/debris
   ✓ Expected: Filter clean, water flows freely
2. Check the drain hose for kinks or clogs. The hose should not be bent more than 90° and should not be inserted more than 46 inches into the standpipe
   ✓ Expected: Hose straight, proper insertion depth
3. Listen for the drain pump running during the drain cycle. If silent, the pump may be seized or not receiving power
   ✓ Expected: Audible pump operation
4. Check the drain pump impeller — remove the pump and verify the impeller spins freely by hand
   ✓ Expected: Impeller rotates freely, no debris
5. If pump is seized or impeller is damaged, replace the drain pump assembly. Samsung drain pumps are a common failure on 7-year-old washers
   ✓ Expected: New pump installed, OE code cleared
6. If OE persists with a known-good pump, check the pressure switch (water level sensor) — a stuck pressure switch can cause the control board to believe water is still in the tub
   ✓ Expected: Pressure switch diaphragm free, tubing not cracked
