♨️ Samsung dryer won't start or door won't lock

🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check the door switch assembly — press the door latch firmly and listen for a click. The microswitch inside the latch must engage
   ✓ Expected: Audible click when door latches
2. Measure the door switch continuity with a multimeter. Closed door = continuity, open door = open circuit
   ✓ Expected: Continuity when closed, open when open
3. If the door switch tests good, check the door lock assembly (motorized lock on newer Samsung dryers). The lock motor must engage before the dryer starts
   ✓ Expected: Lock motor engages, clicks audibly
4. If the lock motor is not engaging, check the 12V supply to the lock from the control board. No 12V = control board or relay issue
   ✓ Expected: 12V DC present at lock connector
5. If 12V is present but the lock doesn't engage, replace the door lock assembly. This is a common failure on Samsung DVE and DVN series
   ✓ Expected: New lock engages, dryer starts
