🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Verify the water supply line is connected and the shut-off valve is fully open. Check for kinks in the line

2. Check the water inlet valve at the back of the refrigerator. Listen for the solenoid clicking when the ice maker calls for water
   ✓ Expected: Solenoid clicks, water flows
3. If no water flows, check the inlet valve for 120V when the ice maker is in the fill cycle. No voltage = control board issue
   ✓ Expected: 120V at valve during fill
4. Check the ice maker's water fill cup — it can freeze solid in cold conditions, blocking the fill
   ✓ Expected: Fill cup has ice but is not blocked
5. For LG ice makers with the auger motor: if ice is made but not dispensing, the auger motor or gear train may be seized. Check the drive gear on the auger shaft
   ✓ Expected: Auger rotates freely by hand
