🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Clean the drain pump filter (bottom front of washer). Remove the small round cap, drain water, clear debris
   ✓ Expected: Filter clean
2. Check the drain hose routing — no higher than 96 inches, no kinks
   ✓ Expected: Hose properly routed
3. If F9/E1 persists, check the drain pump impeller. Frigidaire drain pumps have a known issue where the impeller breaks off the shaft
   ✓ Expected: Impeller intact
4. If the impeller is intact, check the pressure switch (water level sensor) on the top of the tub
   ✓ Expected: Pressure switch diaphragm free
5. If all above check out, replace the drain pump. Frigidaire front-load washers (FFTC series) commonly need pump replacement after 6-8 years
   ✓ Expected: New pump, F9/E1 cleared
