⚠️ Common Causes

Heating element burned out, thermal fuse blown, thermostat failed, gas ignitor failed (gas dryers), vent blocked

Check vent duct — disconnect and verify airflow. Blocked vent is #1 cause of no heat
✓ Expected: Good airflow, lint-free
Test thermal fuse with multimeter — located on blower housing. Should read 0Ω (continuity)
✓ Expected: 0Ω (continuity). If OL, fuse blown — replace
Test heating element with multimeter — should read 10-30Ω
✓ Expected: 10-30Ω
Check heating element visually — look for visible breaks or blisters in the coil
✓ Expected: No visible damage
Test high-limit thermostat — should read 0Ω
✓ Expected: 0Ω
For gas dryers: check ignitor — should glow orange-red. Test resistance: 15-25Ω
✓ Expected: Glowing orange, 15-25Ω
Check gas supply (gas dryers) — verify gas valve is open, smell for gas at ignitor
✓ Expected: Gas valve open
